These pictures show Valantina Provonova giving a lesson on the Great Bustard to the village school in Diakovka, Saratovskaya. Valantina is also the domestic manager at the Field Station where the Great Bustards are raised, and so has great personal knowledge and experience of the Bustards.

Karen Waters of the Great Bustard Group was later able to visit the school and give the children a Bustard ruler and pencil.

The wording in purple lettering on the green board transliterates from the Russian cryrilic to Drofa, which is the Russian word for the Great Bustard.
