Great Bustards have been a part of British culture for hundreds of years, try and occasionally feature in art and heraldry.
Great Bustard supporter John Bray is auctioning a Cabinet Plate featuring a Great Bustard and is generously donating part of the proceeds to the Great Bustard Group.
The Cabinet Plate was manufactured at Cauldon (Stoke on Trent) between 1905 and 1920. Hand painted by Joseph Birbeck (born 1864), health son of Joseph Birbeck Snr. Both were renowned artists, price particularly for their painting of Gamebirds.
The plate is in absolutely perfect condition with superb gilding.
