The Salisbury Journal visits GBG

David Waters, Great Bustard Group Director writes:

Therasa Paul, a reporter from the Salisbury Journal, visited our Great Bustard release site yesterday. As well as getting superb views of some of this year's releases a male from 2007 was showing very well in front of the hide, although she just missed a fly by of a group of older females.

I was unable to show Therasa a Hen Harrier on this occasion but we did get some remarkably close views of a Common Buzzard, plenty of good size finch flocks and, of course, some of the area's many Corn Buntings.

Even though Lynne and Mary were in the middle of relocating our sales and exhibitions stuff into our new portacabin, they did manage to break work for long enough to help Therasa buy two of our exclusive Great Bustard Group mugs.

Both Therasa and I hope there may now be a closer link between the Salisbury Journal and the GBG.
