…in the Springwatch Christmas Special with our very own Lynne Derry and David Waters. Yes, the two hugely important (though very small) bundles of feathers going by the names of ‘rhubarb’ and ‘crumble’, the two chicks born this summer on Salisbury Plain, are on television right now!

Footage is available on the BBC iPlayer. If you don’t want to bother with fantastic videos of badgers, foxes, otters, polecats et al then whizz straight to 46:30 where a very excited Chris Packham visits Salisbury Plain and enthuses about the GBG’s greatest success so far…the first wild Great Bustard chicks born in the UK for 177 years!
