A position as a Postdoctoral Research Officer in Conservation Biology of Great Bustard UK Reintroduction Project (36 month fixed-term post) is currently being offered via the University of Bath.
"A LIFE+ funded postdoctoral research position is available to carry out monitoring and conservation research in the Biodiversity Lab at the University of Bath.
The project will involve developing a monitoring protocol followed by spatial analyses of Great Bustard distributions using remotely-sensed and field behavioural data, monitoring bird movements using telemetry, assessing habitat quality, food supply and predators, and survival analyses to help inform the reintroduction project.
A PhD in conservation biology, spatial ecology, behavioural ecology or in a closely relevant field is essential for this post, as well as prior experience in field biology."
