A new Otis magazine will be released this May.
Open Day beats the rain!
Posted on Sunday, April 29th, 2012
GBG opened their doors for a day to the public, despite the howling winds and rain on Salisbury Plain the birds still popped their heads above the grass and visitors were able to see them from the purpose built hide at the Project Site. The Group ran mini-visits all day followed by tea and home-made cakes at Enford Village hall. We’d like to thank all who took the time to attend and braved the rain to find out how the project is steadily bringing the bustard back to Britain!

We had an absolutely fantastic day (not only because the home made scones tasted so good), it was great to be able to spot the birds in their natural place.
Thank you for this fantastic opportunity, already looking forward to the next time.
I had my first visit to any great bustard event and I was made very welcome. Despite the awful weather we saw 4 bustards and a stone curlew. Well worth the trip. Many thanks
