Fergus spots the Queen!
Posted on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012
The Great Bustard Group was delighted to be invited to participate in the Queen’s Jubilee visit to Salisbury yesterday, and despite torrential rain until mid morning, the crowds were out in force and the GBG team was inundated with enquiries from interested visitors. GBG’s popular stuffed bustard Hercule caused quite a stir as always, but the real star of the day was Fergus, the group’s newest recruit. Fergus, standing proud at 5′ tall is one of the Bustards of Warminster. Go Bustards, brainchild of Lesley Fudge and Warminster Art Society, these stunning models captivate visitors wherever they are displayed.
GBG’s Charles Hibberd, RSPB’s Andrew Taylor, GBG’s consultant virologist Ruth Manvell and web designer Alex Stott with Fergus.
