GBG makes the trip to Germany

Posted on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016

Five GBG staff members recently made a trip to the German Great Bustard Project in Brandenburg. The contact between the two projects is always very useful for both countries, and both are currently having great success with their Great Bustards.

The GBG visitors saw one single Drove of 72 Great Bustards. Not long ago this was the total of the entire German population, but this has now reached 232 birds.

  1. Sadly I missed a very interesting talk at Pitton and would like to know when I could come and visit them on the Plain.
Looking forward to hearing from you- Jane
