THARPARKAR (Daily Dunya) - Hunting camp of Qatari prince Fahad Abdul Rahman Al Thani’s was removed on Friday.
The foreign office had only requested security during their visit to see Tharparkar’s wildlife. They were not allowed to hunt, said District Wildlife Officer Ashfaque Memon.
The action was initiated following a campaign by locals of nearby village.
According to details, Qatari royal accompanied by 20 people drove to Jat Tarai Village in Deeplo Taluko and set up seven tents.
Wildlife officials informed Qatari royal that he could not hunt Houbara bustards in absence of formal permission.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan has signed an agreement over protection of wild life by banning hunt of Houbara Bustard however, the government issues license to Arab brothers over special permission letter.
