We’d like to say a farewell to Stonehenge Brewery owners Stig and Anna Marie, who have designed to hop off to enjoy their retirement.

Stonehenge Ales have been brewing Great Bustard Bitter since 2004. A proportion of each sale is donated to the GBG. Brewers Stig and Anna Marie have generously provided beer for special events and even offered tours around their unique brewery building.

After decades in the industry, the couple are retiring and has passed the brewery on to new owners, Nicola and James Robinson. As well as a passion for beer, the new share Stig and Anna’s love for the Bustard – and are keen to continue to support the GBG.

The couple is developing a new Bustard-themed beer, and we’re excited to see what they create.

Two Wiltshire pubs, The Bell Inn, Wyle and The Carriers Arms at Stockton, have been acquired by new owners and have adopted the Great Bustard as their mascot. The Bustard appears on staff uniforms, menus, and other corporate material.

The owners wanted something unique and wasted no time settling on the county’s special bird, the Great Bustard.

To celebrate the Bustard, they’re creating a new beer. Dark, rich and with a hint of treacle, it will proudly carry the Bustard name and image. A proportion of each sale will be donated to the GBG.

The Great Bustard and beer are a match made in heaven. We hope you’ll join us in raising a toast!
