Saratov, Russia and more migrants are arriving…

GBG Director David Waters is in Saratov, approved Russia monitoring the Great Bustard breeding season – and seeing many migrant birds at the same time…
The last two days has seen Little Bustards arrive along with Rollers.
My sightings of only female Red-footed Falcons seemed to be a chance thing: the next day I saw equal numbers of males.
Other raptors seen include a Golden Eagle, Rough legged, Long legged and Common Buzzards and plenty of Montagu’s and Pallid Harriers. Marsh Harriers are everywhere, and rarely out of sight.
A Pallas’s/Great Black-headed Gull is in residence in the village and seen every day.
